This course will prepare students for the Cambridge C1
Advanced examination, and work on students' strengths and weaknesses to achieve this.
Modulbeschreibung
A course book-based course which prepares for the Cambridge C1 Advanced examination. Students will be placed in different groups according to their language level.
Bibliographie
The coursebook will be announced in the first lesson of the course.

Raymond Murphy (2019) English English Grammar in Use Book with Answers and Interactive eBook, Cambridge: Cambridge University Press ISBN/EAN 978-1-108-58662-7, or later editions
For grammar & vocab practice:
Michael Vince (2015), Language Practice for First 5th Edition Student's Book and MPO with key Pack, Macmillan Education ISBN 978-0-230-46375-2 or (2018) 978-3-19-042673-7, or later editions
Prüfungsleistung
- Homework requirement to be announced at the start of the course
- 80 % attendance required (less attendance will result in a 'nicht erfüllt'
- Students who do not complete the LN requirements, and / or miss more than 2 lessons can be excluded from future English language courses.
Eintrittsbedingungen
The PH Zug English language teaching staff will decide which group best suits a student's needs, and can recommend when a student should take the Cambridge C1 Advanced examination. Of course, students are free to decide when they wish to take the exam.
C1 Advanced exam registration is the student's responsibility.
Before the start of the course, you are strongly recommended to buy and start working through a good grammar book, for example:
